We interviewed a student who passed Korea University, Literature Department, in March 2024
The reason for choosing the university and department
I first got into K-pop and thought it would be nice to learn a little Korean. However, as I started studying the language, I became more curious about its origin and structure. Now, I'm thinking about pursuing a department where I can study languages in more depth.
The reason why you decided to study in Korea
When I was into K-pop, I started studying Korean and thought it would be fun to take a class in the language. That's why I decided to study in Korea.
Struggle points while preparing for studying in Korea
1. Obtaining accurate information from the guidelines was difficult for me. I had an experience where, due to a misunderstanding, I ended up wasting time and money preparing documents.
2. Sharing information was challenging. It was my first time preparing to study abroad, and there was no one around me who had gone to Korea. Moreover, it was difficult for me to share information clearly with my teachers and parents.
The Reasons to Choose SQUARE
I also used the SQUARE agency when I studied abroad in Korea for two weeks, and I was able to trust them. I did a lot of research, but most agencies only support short-term study abroad programs and language schools. However, SQUARE provides support for regular undergraduate admissions, which was really helpful for me.
How was SQUAREs service?
When I asked a question, they provided accurate information and replied within a day, which was great. However, I think it would have been better if they had contacted me when they submitted my application to the university.
How was the result of examination?
I was able to get into the university I wanted to attend.
Please give a message to those who are preparing to study in Korea.
When you choose a university, I recommend you choosing from the department you want to go to! You may be curious about the location and campus, but if you live there, you will get used to live soon, so please look for the department you are interested in first!
